I Feel Bad For This West Virginia Fan With The Ultimate Sex Appeal For Having To Watch The Most Frustrating Team In The Country

So there’s going to be a lot going on in this blog, but perhaps none more than what’s going on in this picture. First off, this man is exactly what peak sex appeal looks like. Just the perfect look when heading to a game. But there’s oh so much more in this picture. You have a guy pretty much eating a wrapper behind him. Just the stare at the camera. It’s perfect.

What’s not perfect? West Virginia basketball. This team is probably the most frustrating team in the country and after last night I’d call them the biggest disappointment thus far in the season.

Simply put, West Virginia doesn’t do anything well. Look at their stats and breakdowns. There’s nothing. They are awful at forcing turnovers (221st in the country). They are awful at taking care of the ball (243rd in the country). They really struggle trying to find a shot and get into an offense. It’s bad and that’s being polite.

Now, it’s no surprise there would be somewhat of a step backwards. That’s what happens when you lose the backcourt of what seemed to be the last 20 years in Jevon Carter and Dax Miles. They struggle finding a shot. They struggle breaking down the defense. It’s not pretty and you can tell Huggins is frustrated with his guard play. It’s even more evident when teams press them. Teams have pressed them for about 50 possessions this year. West Virginia has turned it over 42% of the time there. That’s just absolutely awful.

That’s where it starts. It also starts with Esa Ahmad. You know what you’re going to get out of Konate. But, there has to be a way to get him the ball + take pressure off of doubles in the post. Just a couple of years ago Ahmad was an intriguing NBA prospect. He was then suspended for the first half of last season and this year has never really lived up to the billing of the second guy with Konate.

Huggins needs to find a steady hand at guard and quickly. Until that happens, West Virginia fans will all be looking like our guy in the picture.
